Todd McFarlane - 1990 Spider-Man #9 pg 22. Gorgeous splash page that doesn't get much better. Aspiring simply to become a successful indie or gun-for-hire penciller, talented young newcomer Todd McFarlane was as surprised as anyone when his singular, cinematic style became an overnight sensation. It was during his work on Spider-Man (1990) that he really made a name for himself, making this a very sought after piece of early original art.
The flow of movement through Wendigo's luxurious locks and the balance of Wolverine's charge demonstrates the almost romantic style and technical skill that he brought to all his work. Original Art in "twice up" size. 13.5 x 20.5 Signed by Todd.
Has very old school paste ups (text in the middle). By far one of his coolest interior pieces.
