MASSIVE 8 Volume Marvel Comics Cosmic Universe Collection CUSTOM HARDCOVERS
This listing is for my 8 volume collection of Marvel Cosmic Universe comics that I collected and had hardcover bound a few years back. The covers are black, with gold, silver, and red print, and the entire set is bookended by the official Marvel hardcover releases of'The Death of Captain Marvel' and'The Thanos Imperative'. The 8 volume custom hardcovers contain every book I think you need to thoroughly enjoy Marvel's Cosmic Universe run of books that lasted for a few years in the late 00's. Headlined by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning's fantastic Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova runs, the stories told in this massive collection laid the groundwork for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie team that we recently saw on the big screen.
When I put this collection together, however, I didn't just throw each title in without thought on what order it should be read in. Nope, All 8 volumes are organized in what I believe to be the best reading order for the entire collection. Believe me, by the time you are done reading this monster, you'll feel like you read one massive epic of a story. Each book has a table of contents that I created that details what issues can be found within. All comics were bound with their covers and ads intact. So what does this collection actually collect, you ask? Well, here is the list in reading order... The Death of Captain Marvel not custom. This is one of the official Marvel hardcovers. The grand, and I mean GRAND, conclusion to this whole thing! So yeah, that is a lot of comics. 8 custom hardcovers and 2 extra official hardcovers on top of that.It took me months to gather all the issues and figure out the order I wanted them organized in, and another couple of months to get them all hardcover bound. This set is kind of my baby, but sometimes we just need to clean house a bit. I know I'm asking quite the price for this collection, and it certainly isn't worth it to many people out there.
But just perhaps one of you will see this and think, Aw man... I'm sorry wallet, but this collection just speaks to me!
